The use case
Coop Hungary is one of the largest retail chains in the country with 3400 stores, working in a franchise model. Stores are owned by different companies, but the logistics, product sortiment, discount promotions, IT system, corporate identity are managed centrally.
Coop Hungary needed an online platform to digitize and automate data exchange with the stores and regions. They also wanted a solution which makes the work of their quality controllers more efficient when they are checking cleanliness, product placements, promotions in the stores.
The solution
As a subcontractor of Laurel Ltd. our developers created a web based platform, which
- provides different access rights to different representatives of the central office, regions, sub-regions, stores.
- enables the reporting of sales data to calculate franchise fees, and automatically generates invoices.
- manages the register and updates of franchise contracts.
- manages the generation, sales performance and financial settlement of coupon promotions.
- enables easy dissemination of training documents.
- various forms can be created for store controllers.
- an Android mobile app enables store controllers to fill the appropriate forms on their tablets, which includes various question/answer types, taking photos, and requesting a signature from the store manager.
The result
The system has been in use for several years, and optimizes the workflow of Coop Hungary to manage the largest hungarian franchise system.
